Deb Iversen

Deborah first started her theatre career as the youngest cast member of a family touring theatre company. 

At eighteen she joined the Lyric and made an easy transition into musical theatre. Deborah gained a first class honors degree in Performing Arts and Contemporary Theatre, in Surrey, which took her theatre influences in a different direction, focusing predominantly on contemporary performance and directing, she has most recently  completed her MA in theatre directing.

She has attended workshops by Augusto Boal and many other practitioners over the years, their influence and the excellent contemporary training she received, has developed, formed and defined a unique style.

Deborah most recently adapted and directed  King Lear (Our Mere Defects) for a contemporary production. She enjoys working as a freelance theatre director and on occasions turns her hand to classical theatre and was invited to direct Thérèse Raquin at The Courtyard Theatre.


Some of Deborah's other outside directing projects have included Rattle Rattle at The Courtyard Theatre.
